Key takeaway: Yes, IPTV Smarters Pro was removed from Google Play: its listing now returns “not found”. On Apple devices, the official Smarters Player Lite from WHMCS SMARTERS is still in the App Store. The official website, iptvsmarters.com, was also down when we checked. Your IPTV subscription is not affected, because the login works in any player, so you can switch to Kivora or another app in a few minutes.

If you tried to install or update IPTV Smarters Pro recently and could not find it, you are not alone. The app has disappeared from Google Play, and many users are now asking whether Smarters has shut down, whether their subscription still works and which player to use instead.
This guide sticks to what we could check ourselves. It explains what is gone, what is still available, what happens to the app on your device, and how to move your login to a different player without losing anything important.

What we checked (November 5, 2026)
| Where | What we found |
|---|---|
| Google Play | The IPTV Smarters Pro listing returns “We’re sorry, the requested URL was not found” |
| Apple App Store | Smarters Player Lite by WHMCS SMARTERS is still listed for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV; version 1.4.2 was released on September 11 |
| iptvsmarters.com | Down: the official website did not load |
Several websites report the Google Play removal, but they give different dates and reasons, and none of them links to an official notice from Google or the developer. For that reason, we only report what we could see ourselves. We will update this page if the developer publishes a statement.

Is IPTV Smarters Pro shut down?
The official website, iptvsmarters.com, appears to be down: it did not load when we checked on November 5, 2026. Together with the Google Play removal, this means Android and Fire TV users no longer have an official place to download IPTV Smarters Pro.
However, the developer has not published an announcement that the company has closed. The Apple version, Smarters Player Lite, is still listed under WHMCS SMARTERS and received an update in September. So the safest reading today is this: on Android and Fire TV, IPTV Smarters Pro is effectively gone, and it is time to move to another player.
Beware of fake “official” Smarters websites
With the official website down, many other websites now use the Smarters name and present themselves as the official app or the official provider. They are not run by the developer, WHMCS SMARTERS, and many of them sell “Smarters subscriptions” or modified copies of the app.
The official app’s own App Store description says it does not provide, host, sell or promote any TV channels or streaming services. Therefore, any website that sells an “official IPTV Smarters subscription” is not the official developer.
| Warning sign | What it means |
|---|---|
| Calls itself the “official Smarters” site or provider | Smarters never sold channels to viewers |
| Sells a “Smarters Pro subscription” | It is a reseller using the Smarters name |
| Offers a “premium” or “modded” Smarters APK | Unofficial copy; may carry malware |
| Look-alike app names in app stores | Check the developer name before you install |

Does my IPTV subscription still work?
Yes. Smarters is only a player; it never supplied the channels. Your channels come from your IPTV service, and your login (Xtream Codes or an M3U link) works in any other player. In other words, losing the app does not mean losing your subscription.
What happens to the app already on my device?
- It is still installed: removing an app from a store does not delete it from your device.
- It will not update from Google Play: you will not receive fixes or new features there.
- It may stop working over time: older apps can break after system updates, so it is wise to set up a replacement now.
Above all, avoid “modded” or re-uploaded Smarters APKs from random websites. Unofficial copies can carry malware, and they never receive proper updates.

Best alternatives to IPTV Smarters Pro
Kivora: our pick for Fire TV and Android TV
Kivora is a modern IPTV player built for the remote, and it is the easiest switch from Smarters on Fire TV and Android TV. According to its website, it offers:
- Easy setup by phone: scan the QR code on your TV, then paste your M3U link or Xtream login on your phone.
- Xtream Codes, M3U and M3U8, with up to 20 playlists per TV.
- Live TV with a full TV guide, plus catch-up when your playlist supports it.
- Movies and series with posters, resume and auto-play of the next episode.
- Parental PIN, favourites and search across channels, movies and series.
- A free 7-day trial with every feature unlocked and no account needed.
On Fire TV, search for Kivora in the Amazon Appstore or open Kivora on Amazon; you can also use Downloader code 3484698. On Android TV and Google TV, download the APK from the Kivora website. Disclosure: Kivora is a partner app of IPTV SUBC.
Other good alternatives
| Device | Best alternatives | Where to get them |
|---|---|---|
| Android TV, Google TV | Kivora, TiviMate, OTT Navigator | Kivora website, Google Play |
| Fire TV Stick (Fire OS) | Kivora, TiviMate, OTT Navigator, provider apps | Downloader |
| iPhone, iPad, Apple TV | Smarters Player Lite, IPTVX, UHF | App Store |
| Windows | MyIPTV Player | Microsoft Store |
| Samsung and LG TVs | Players from the TV’s own store | Samsung or LG store |
TiviMate is the closest upgrade for live TV. Its Google Play listing says it supports M3U, Xtream Codes and Stalker portals and is designed for Android TV. See TiviMate on Fire TV.
OTT Navigator is free, has a real TV guide and handles large playlists well. See our OTT Navigator setup guide.
On Apple devices, you can keep using Smarters Player Lite. However, the App Store also lists many look-alike apps with “Smarters” in the name from other sellers, so check that the developer reads WHMCS SMARTERS before you tap Get. For more options, see IPTV on iPhone and iPad.
For a full comparison, see Xtream IPTV player.
Provider apps: 8K IPTV Player, 4K Flix Player and 4KFlexHub Player
Some IPTV services now offer their own player for Fire TV and Android, and they are also good replacements for Smarters. If you subscribe to one of them, you sign in with your account and the subscription loads by itself, with nothing to type. These apps can also load an Xtream Codes login or M3U link from another service.
| App | Downloader code | Works on |
|---|---|---|
| 8K IPTV Player | 3330041 | Fire TV, Android TV, Google TV, Android phones |
| 4K Flix Player | 1250343 | Fire TV, Android TV, Google TV, Android phones |
| 4KFlexHub Player | 5669139 | Fire TV, Android TV, Google TV, Android phones |
To install one, open Downloader, enter the code and select Go. Like other sideloaded players, they need a Fire OS device, not a Vega OS stick. Disclosure: these services are partners of IPTV SUBC.
How to move your login to a new player
- Find your login. Open your IPTV service’s welcome email, or, in Smarters, open your user profile and note the server URL and username.
- Install the new player from its official store or with its official Downloader code.
- Choose Xtream Codes and enter the server URL (with http:// and the port), username and password.
- Wait for the channels and guide to load, then mark your favourites again; they do not transfer between apps.
- Close Smarters before you watch in the new app, so you do not use two connections.

If you cannot find your login
Contact your IPTV service and ask them to resend your Xtream Codes details. Most services can do this in minutes. Meanwhile, do not try to recover the login from unofficial tools that ask for your device access. If your service does not answer at all, it may be time to test another one with a free IPTV trial.
